Danger in the Depths

First assignment for Fantasy Illustration. It's a challenging class, I'm looking forward to my skills improving quite a bit this semester!

Jade Forest Blood Elf

It's been awhile since I've done some WoW art and this is the first time I've really done a background for a personal piece. I was going to give up on this really early on but I'm glad I stuck with it. I wanted to do something MoP related, even though I haven't played the game (yet). I love the artbook for it though. Since MoP is very heavily steeped in Chinese motifs, I went with a more Asian aesthetic.

Wind warrior for Terreria Tactics. She's my favorite so far.. Probably because she's the typical chick I enjoy drawing. Plus, the short red hair is a little bit reminiscent of a hairstyle I had freshman year!

Tier 5

My Clothed Figure Painting 1 final, an appropriation of Bougereau's "Le Crepuscule". Oil on canvas, 18x24. I'm really happy with this one, I loved getting into the metal work detail. Featuring a human priest in Tier 5 regalia.

This was just a homework assignment for Clothed Figure 2 but I really like how it turned out, so here it is!

Some more work for the card game I am working for. This is Gregory the Hoarder, the lazy yet powerful king of the dragons. Character & concept belong to Chris Solis, artwork copyright to Megan Cheever.

The Cat's Elopement

My final for Illustration 2. Assignment was a children's book illustration. My story is of the Japanese tale, "The Cat's Elopement". Basically it's about two cats who fall in love, then run away together, are separated, then reunited. Drama.

Shaman

Animated/anthropomorphic version of the lionfish painting below. Another Illustration 2 assignment. He was fun to do! Fun, then tedious. I do like him a lot though, perhaps he should get a name! Also, I've started to watermark with text since my work has started to pick up a trickle of interest over the internet. Over the winter break I'll be designing an icon to watermark with. But for now, my name (and online alias).
